How the $100,000 Weekly Pool is Distributed
Each calendar week (Monday 12AM UTC to Sunday 11:59:59PM UTC), Bybit allocates a $100,000 TradFi perpetual liquidity incentive pool. Meet the minimum coverage requirement to qualify. Your reward is calculated by dividing your weekly score by the total score of all qualifying market makers, then multiplying the result by the reward pool:
Your weekly reward = Your weekly score ÷ Total score of all qualifying market makers × $100,000
Each market maker may receive up to $50,000 per week (50% of the pool).
Scoring flow: Order-book snapshots (every 10s) → Depth-weighted effective size (two-sided) → Your share of all market makers' effective depth × Symbol points = Symbol score → Sum of all symbol scores × Coverage multiplier → Your score ÷ Total score of all qualifying market makers × $100,000 pool
How Your Score Is Calculated
Your weekly score is calculated in 3 steps:
-
Step 1: Convert each symbol's orders into "effective depth"
Effective depth = Orders within 0–5 bps × 100% + Orders within 5–10 bps × 60% + Orders within 10–20 bps × 35% + Orders within 20–50 bps × 15%
The closer an order is to the mid-price, the greater the proportion that counts toward effective depth. Orders beyond 50 bps are excluded. -
Step 2: Calculate your score for each symbol
Symbol score = Your effective depth ÷ All market makers' effective depth × That symbol's point weight
Example: If you account for 20% of the total effective depth on a B-tier symbol (2.5 points), your score on that symbol is 20% × 2.5 = 0.50 points. -
Step 3: Sum all qualifying symbols and apply the coverage multiplier
Your weekly score = Sum of all qualifying symbol scores × Coverage multiplier
You must cover at least 10 qualifying symbols to participate in the pool distribution. The more qualifying symbols you cover, the higher the multiplier.
Key notes:
-
All market makers are measured using the same depth bands and weights, so comparisons are made on a like-for-like basis.
-
Each symbol has a per-maker effective depth cap; orders beyond the cap do not increase your score for that symbol.
-
Only symbols that meet the sampling and qualification rules described in Section II count toward your weekly score and coverage count.
In short: tighter quotes, a larger share per symbol, and broader coverage → higher score → larger reward.
Calculation Rules: Depth, Symbol Weights, Coverage & Sampling
1. Depth Band Weights
We measure order distance from the mid-price in basis points (bps). Two-sided order volume in each band is multiplied by the corresponding weight and aggregated into effective depth; orders are not double-counted across bands.
|

For example, the same $10,000 in two-sided order contributes $10,000 of effective depth within 0–5 bps, but only $1,500 within 20–50 bps. Orders closer to the book contribute more, while orders placed far from the market contribute little or nothing.
2. Symbol Point Weights & Per-Maker Depth Caps
Each TradFi perpetual symbol is assigned to Tier A, B, or C based on liquidity demand. The tier determines the symbol's point weight, qualification floor, and per-maker effective depth cap. The full symbol list is available here.

3. Coverage Multiplier Table
After summing individual symbol scores, the system applies a coverage multiplier based on the number of qualifying symbols you have for the week:
|

×0.0 |
|
10–19 |

20–29 |

4. Sampling & Qualification Rules
We use systematic high-frequency sampling to measure continuously available two-sided liquidity, rather than relying on a single point-in-time snapshot.
-
The system takes an order-book snapshot every 10 seconds for each symbol, recording your two-sided order volume within the applicable assessment depth.
-
Tier A is assessed at a depth of 10 bps; Tiers B and C are assessed at 20 bps. Minimum two-sided order sizes are listed in the table above.
-
A symbol qualifies for a given calendar day if at least 70% of that day's snapshots meet the tier's minimum two-sided order size.
-
A symbol qualifies for the week if it has at least 6 qualifying days within the week. It then counts toward your symbol score and coverage multiplier.
-
If you have fewer than 10 qualifying symbols for the week, your coverage multiplier is 0, and you will not participate in that week's pool distribution.
Worked Example: From the Order Book to Your Reward
The following example is for illustration only; amounts and market shares are hypothetical.
Assume you have 12 B-tier symbols that each qualify on at least 6 days during the week, with at least 70% of snapshots meeting the qualification requirement on each qualifying day. The 12 symbols fall within the 10–19 bracket, so your coverage multiplier is ×1.0.
For one of those B-tier symbols, your two-sided order volume based on the applicable sampling results is:
|
Depth band |
Your two-sided order size |
Weight |
Weighted effective depth |
|---|---|---|---|
|
0–5 bps |
$12,000 |
100% |
$12,000 |

$10,000 |
35% |
$3,500 |
|
Total |
$30,000 |
— |
$20,300 |
The per-maker cap for B-tier symbols is $40,000, so your $20,300 effective depth is not capped. Assume the total effective depth of all market makers for the same symbol, calculated on the same basis, is $101,500:
Your effective depth share = $20,300 ÷ $101,500 = 20%
Symbol score = 20% × 2.5 (B-tier points) = 0.50 points
Assume that after applying the same method across all 12 qualifying symbols, your total score is 9.00 points. After applying the coverage multiplier:
Your weekly score = 9.00 × 1.0 = 9.00 points
Assume the total weekly score of all qualifying market makers is 180.00 points, and no market maker reaches the $50,000 cap:
Your reward share = 9.00 ÷ 180.00 = 5.0%
Your weekly reward = 5.0% × $100,000 = $5,000
Takeaway: Tighter quotes increase effective depth, a larger effective-depth share on each symbol earns more points, and broader coverage increases the multiplier.
How to Participate
Participation is voluntary and opt-in. No additional technical configuration is required; eligible liquidity is automatically recorded and scored under the rules in this announcement.
-
Review the market-making requirements and the full symbol list in this announcement.
-
Contact your Bybit institutional account manager to express interest and provide your email to receive daily reports and weekly settlement statements.
-
Provide close-to-book, two-sided liquidity on as many TradFi perpetual symbols as possible.

Appendix
A · Symbol Tier Classification
All TradFi perpetual symbols are classified into Tiers A, B, and C by trading activity. The tier determines the point weight, minimum order size, and assessment depth. Newly listed TradFi symbols are automatically added and assigned to the appropriate tier.
B · Qualification Rules
Qualification is assessed at two levels:
-
Daily qualification: The system takes a snapshot every 10 seconds, recording your two-sided order volume within the applicable assessment depth. A symbol qualifies for a given day if at least 70% of that day's snapshots meet the tier's minimum two-sided order size. Tier A is assessed at 10 bps; Tiers B and C are assessed at 20 bps.
-
Weekly qualification: A symbol qualifies for the week if it has at least 6 qualifying days out of 7. It then counts toward your score and coverage multiplier. There is no market-share threshold or multi-layer evaluation. Keep your orders near the book most of the time to qualify.
Bybit will continue to review and optimize the TradFi perpetual trading ecosystem in response to evolving market conditions. Thank you for your continued support. For more information, visit FAQ: TradFi Copy Trading — Help Center.
